Becky will be hosting a series of virtual meetings to gather further responses. Some will be by invitation (such as to representatives from SABER (Students Against The BSB Exam Regulations), Pearson VUE, BPTC Providers, the Inns of Court, the BSB and so on), but there will also be the following open meetings which we hope students and others affected by the August exams will join:

Friday 20th November, 1pm – 2.30pm

Tuesday 1st December, 4pm – 5.30 pm

Wednesday 6th January 2021, 2pm – 3.30pm

We will be asking BPTC Providers to contact their students affected and share the dates and times of these meetings. Students who were affected may also extend the invitation to others, such as family members or friends who felt impacted by the exams, who may also wish to attend.

These are open meetings, but you will have to email pvc-edu@hull.ac.uk  to be provided with the meeting link.

Becky would also be pleased to accept written responses within the terms of reference above to  pvc-edu@hull.ac.uk   If you are planning to attend one of the meetings above, you may prefer to send full written responses after these meetings have been held.

The deadline for written responses is Friday 15th January 2021. The aim is that the review will be completed and published by the end of February 2021.

Please note that the independent reviewer is unable to deal with individual requests for review or appeals from marks awarded for the August exams. That is outside of the remit of this review. These requests are properly addressed to the BSB exams team exams@barstandardsboard.org.uk. More information about requests for reviews can also be found in the FAQs on the BSB website under the question relating to the CEB Chair’s report -https://www.barstandardsboard.org.uk/training-qualification/becoming-a-barrister/vocational-component/covid-19-and-the-vocational-component-faqs.html
